W.J. Goldie was born in Brooklyn, New York. He earned a B.S. degree in Biology from Towson University and has lived in Washington D.C., Boston and Los Angeles. His first-person essays on personal growth and spirituality have appeared in the Baltimore Sun, Sources magazine and the Baltimore City Paper. Warren Goldie has worked as a writer for Steven Spielberg’s Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation and was a script analyst for Edward Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz, creators of thirtysomething, Shakespeare in Love and Blood Diamond. He was a Featured Playwright in the Playwrights Showcase of the Western States in Denver and the Baltimore Playwrights Festival. Waking Maya is Warren Goldie's first novel. Currently he is a freelance writer based in Washington, DC.
